Osceola Heritage Park (OHP) Hosts Record-Setting Mecum Kissimmee "The World's Largest Collector Car Auction"
OHP Transforms its Unique 200-Acre Property into Massive Thirteen-Day Event Serving More Than 100,000 Guests

(KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Jan. 21, 2026) – Osceola Heritage Park, the most unique entertainment and sports complex in the Southeast U.S., kicked off the New Year hosting Mecum Kissimmee, "The World's Largest Collector Car Auction," marking the 21st year this legendary event has taken place at the venue. The iconic event has grown exponentially since its inaugural appearance at Osceola Heritage Park in 2006, becoming a centerpiece of the automotive auction world and drawing visitors from across the globe.
The first Mecum auction at Osceola Heritage Park in January 2006 was a two-day affair featuring just a couple of tents, one of which housed the auction itself, and attracted a few thousand visitors. Fast forward to January 2026, Mecum Kissimmee has evolved into a 13-day, record-breaking extravaganza that welcomes approximately 100,000 attendees, features 4,500 vehicles, and broadcasts to a global audience from the 10,000-capacity Silver Spurs Arena.
That scale translated directly to historic results on the auction block. Inside Silver Spurs Arena, a Ferrari from the Bachman Collection sold for $17.875 million, setting an auction record for a Ferrari Enzo, while a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO achieved a final sale price of $38.5 million, marking a record result for Mecum Auctions. Overall, Mecum Kissimmee generated a record $441 million in total sales over the course of the 13-day event.
To accommodate the auction's consistent growth, Osceola Heritage Park, managed by Legends Global, premier partner to the world's greatest live events, venues, and brands, transforms its 200-acre grounds into a sprawling automotive showcase, with over 900,000 square feet of tents that house thousands of vehicles consigned for auction, a space equivalent to 16 football fields.
Complementing this massive build, 120,000 square feet of carpeting is laid to provide a polished stage for the consigned vehicles, which are transported to the venue by a fleet of 800 semi-trucks. The park's 60,000-square-foot events center is also utilized for an immersive display of exclusive car collections and road art.
Osceola Heritage Park's hospitality team raises the bar with 30 diverse food and beverage experiences across the campus, to serve tens of thousands of meals over the course of the event. Two expansive food courts with a custom-curated blend of in-house concessions and third-party food trucks are featured with options ranging from BBQ and wood-fired pizza to lobster rolls, Mediterranean cuisine, homemade ice cream, pressed juices, a variety of vegan offerings and much more.
"Accommodating an event of this caliber is unlike anything else, and our culinary team rises to the challenge every year," said Tony Donnelly, Director of Food and Beverage at Osceola Heritage Park for Legends Global. "From serving thousands of guests each day to providing daily meals for hundreds of Mecum staff and television production crews, we're focused on delivering a food and beverage experience that matches the prestige, energy, and global reach of Mecum Kissimmee."
Throughout the 13-day extravaganza, the venue goes through approximately 200 kegs of beer, pouring an estimated 34,000 cups, all served in branded, recyclable aluminum cups, and stocks more than 20,000 canned beers and cocktails and over 20,000 individually packaged snacks. OHP prepares daily meals for Mecum's staff of more than 400 people, as well as the television production crew, offering homestyle comfort foods to help them feel right at home. The OHP team also provides catering for the players of the MLS team, Orlando City, who continue training at the facility while the Mecum auction is underway.
That level of scale and execution is a key reason Mecum continues to return year after year.
"Osceola Heritage Park is unmatched when it comes to hosting an event of this scale," said Harold Gerdes, Vice President of Operations for Mecum Auctions. "Its flexibility, infrastructure, and operational expertise allow us to deliver the world's largest collector car auction at the level our consignors, bidders, and fans expect. We value our partnership with OHP and the Legends Global team, whose venues understand what it takes to produce Mecum Auctions at the highest level."
For guests that want to stay fully immersed in the action on the arena floor, in-seat dining allows Mecum's Gold bidders to enjoy full-service food and beverage without missing a moment of the auction. For an even more elevated experience, Osceola Heritage Park's Heritage Club offers restaurant-style dining, allowing guests to watch action of the auction unfold on 15 televisions surrounding the space.
"Mecum Kissimmee is the ultimate showcase of what Osceola Heritage Park can deliver. It's a world championship event on our home turf," said Robb Larson, general manager of Osceola Heritage Park for Legends Global. "Executing an event of this magnitude across 200 acres requires unmatched coordination and expertise. We're proud to partner with Mecum year after year to produce an event that continues to raise the bar for scale, service, and fan experience."
Mecum Kissimmee continues to break records year after year, solidifying its reputation as a can't-miss event for collectors and fans of automotive history. Osceola Heritage Park remains a key partner, providing the infrastructure, innovation, and hospitality needed to support the auction's continued success and growth.
