Job Description:

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Groundskeeper for Osceola Heritage Park at Osceola County Stadium.

 

SUMMARY: Maintains the function and appearance of the facility, oversees the building grounds, and assures facility readiness for a smooth operation of events.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs a variety of grounds maintenance tasks to include edging, mowing, trimming, waste and litter removal, fertilizing, laying sod, and raking. Spreads seed, plants foliage and shrubbery, aerates sports fields, lawns, and soils, trims and maintains landscape. Drags and spikes clay infields (when/where appropriate).
  • Performs custodial tasks to include emptying and cleaning waste receptacles; washing windows; dusting and polishing furniture; cleaning vents, air filters, fans, walls; changing light bulbs, cleaning restrooms and locker rooms.
  • Performs physically demanding tasks requiring the use of heavy grounds keeping, maintenance, and/or custodial equipment.
  • Performs general maintenance and upkeep of tools, equipment, and machinery to include lubricates, services, and fuels; performs routine light maintenance and repairs; cleans and maintains a safe operation.
  • Performs minor maintenance and repairs on facilities, structures, equipment, sidewalks, drainage, and other County property in one or more of the skilled and semi-skilled disciplines to include plumbing, masonry, carpentry, flooring, and irrigation,
  • Operates lawn care equipment to include manual and riding lawn mowers, sports turf mowers, sand pros and tractors, sod cutters, trucks, weed-eaters, trimmers, edger, and blower.
  • Operates and maintains irrigation and drainage systems.
  • May utilize a wide variety of manual, gas, and electric powered hand tools, including a hammer, shovel, rake, screwdrivers, wrenches, digging bar, chainsaw, chemical sprayer leaf blowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, and edger.
  • Maintains buildings and equipment by keeping it clean and in safe working order by emptying and cleaning waste receptacles, cleaning vents, fans, and walls; clean equipment and tools after use and maintains cleanliness and order in storage areas.
  • Painting of facility fields, buildings -- both exterior and interior, doors, etc., as needed
  • Event set-up and changeover to include moving, arranging, assembly and disassembly, setting and removal of items needed;
  • Participates in work-site safety set-up - preps work areas; sets barricades and cones; conducts traffic control in accordance with uniform work zone safety standards; flag traffic.
  • Responds to emergency situations in order to confine, resolve, or prevent injurious or otherwise hazardous conditions due to fallen debris, spills, broken windows, broken locks, etc.
  • Organizes and maintains an inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
  • Reports equipment malfunctions and facility maintenance needs to immediate supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or necessary.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • Two (2) years' experience in facility maintenance or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience;
  • Valid Florida Driver's license;
  • Valid Florida Lawn and Ornamental Spray license or ability to obtain license within 90 days of hire;
  • Fork Lift Certification or ability to acquire certification within 90 days of hire;
  • Fluent in English including speaking and writing;
  • Excellent communication skills and a good working relationships with departmental personnel, supervisors, and the general public;

OPERATIONS LEAD

POSITION: Operations Lead (Full-Time Regular)

 SUMMARY

Change over the facility for events and maintain cleanliness of buildings and grounds.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Event set-up and changeover to include moving, arranging, assembly and disassembly, setting and removal of items needed;
  • Equestrians event set up and changeover may include assembly and disassembly of animal penning;
  • General cleaning and up keep of buildings, including buffing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washing windows; cleaning toilets, urinals, mirrors, walls, arena seats, and trash cans;
  • Responsible for completion of assigned work orders;
  • Assures facility readiness and smooth operation of events;
  • Other duties as assigned;

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

POSITION: Human Resources Manager

SUMMARY

ASM GLOBAL, the leader in privately managed public facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Human Resources Manager at ASM GLOBAL-Osceola Heritage Park. This position oversees all Human Resources operations as well as administration and maintenance of all Facility Benefit Programs, consistent with ASM GLOBAL/Osceola Heritage Park policies by performing the following duties.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follows ASM GLOBAL Human Resources policies to assure compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions. Maintains compliance with state regulations concerning employment
  • Administers various Human Resources plans and procedures for all facility personnel
  • Performs recruitment activities. Writes and places advertisements. Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions
  • Plans and conducts new employee orientations
  • Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting
  • Coordinates training or trains Managers in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance management, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment. Coordinates training or trains employees in ASM GLOBAL Customer Service Training
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Advises the corporate office of EEOC complaints and other employee relations problems
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
  • Administers Affirmative Action Plan
  • Administers performance review and salary administration program
  • Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance
  • Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position directly supervises administrative employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM GLOBAL's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

CASHIER (Part-Time)

Summary

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Cashier on a part-time on-call basis for ASM Global/Osceola Heritage Park. The cashier will sell menu items at the concession stand, control waste and provide good customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow all policies and procedures of ASM Global;
  • Assist in the setup of the stand prior to event, (cooking pretzels, making hotdogs, etc.);
  • Verify starting bank with money manager and handle money in accordance with cashier money handling policy;
  • Keep track of all voids and over rings;
  • Take orders from customers; Check ID for alcohol sales and enforce alcohol policy;
  • Assist with keeping an accurate inventory count;
  • Balance revenue sheet after each event;
  • Help with post event break down, (cleaning, putting stock away, etc.);
  • Other duties as assigned;

DISHWASHER (Part-Time)

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Dishwasher/Steward part-time for Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, FL.

The Dishwasher/Steward will work in the kitchen ensuring that a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation is maintained within the food and beverage department.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Stage plates and setup breakdown area prior to events.
  • Assist FOH prior to events as needed.
  • Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
  • Washes pots, pans, trays, worktables, walls, ranges and refrigerators.
  • Maintains clean dry floors and walls at all times, including sweeping and mopping.
  • Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
  • Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Help keep all China, Glass, and Silver in place, along with keeping the Banquet storage areas stocked and orderly.
  • Assist in plating up for events.
  • Maintains sanitary and safe work environment at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.
