Facility Maintenance Engineer

SUMMARY

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed convention centers and arenas, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Facility Maintenance Engineer at Osceola Heritage Park, Kissimmee, FL.  The maintenance engineer is responsible for all aspects of facility maintenance and event setup and teardown. All facility equipment including audio and visual, plumbing and electrical plants; lighting and climate control systems; roofing systems; telecommunications, food service and maintenance/cleaning equipment is operating properly and efficiently and maintained in good condition. Provide general facility maintenance and proper delivery of event-related utility services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Assist with proper and efficient operation of the facilities Building Management System (BMS).
•    Provides technical support, oversees and/or assists with repairs and maintenance of all facility systems and equipment.
•    Help ensure all equipment is maintained according to factory specifications and appropriate PM information is entered into ASM Altum Maintenance Program.
•    Proper utilization of the Work Order and ASM Maintenance Manager systems.
•    Adherence to OSHA, NFPA and other applicable safety codes.
•    Analyzes needs and plan preventive maintenance programs and upgrades for systems.
•    Monitors repair activity to minimum downtown and disruption to facility event activity.
•    Setup and teardown event related services, phone and internet, power, A/V, and lighting.

QUALIFICATIONS

Summary

This role is primarily responsible for the repair, maintenance, and servicing of smaller vehicles, including golf carts, landscaping equipment, utility vehicles, and other similar machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•    Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on golf carts, landscaping equipment, and other small vehicles.
•    Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
•    Maintain and repair engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical components, and hydraulic systems.
•    Ensure all vehicles and equipment are operating safely and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Event set-up and changeover to include moving, arranging, assembly and disassembly, setting and removal of items needed.
•    Equestrians event set up and changeover may include assembly and disassembly of animal penning.
•    General cleaning and upkeep of buildings, including buffing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washing windows; cleaning toilets, urinals, mirrors, walls, arena seats, and trash cans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Assist with the training of new employees.
•    Schedule the appropriate staff for events, oversee and direct staff.
•    Assist with enforcing ASM Global/OHP policies and procedures including alcohol policies.
•    Serve as liaison with clients.
•    Fulfill the service per each Banquet Event Order (BEO).
•    Prep, set up and organization of catered event; prep, breaks down and cleanup of catered event.
•    Creativity in designing buffet presentations and coffee break décor.

•    Manage banquets in the absence of Assistant Director, Food & Beverage.

  • Assist in the setup of the stand prior to the event, (cooking pretzels, making hotdogs, etc.).

PT Event Staff

UMMARY

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent opportunity for part-time Event Staff at Osceola Heritage Park, Kissimmee, Florida.  The Event Staff are responsible for directing patrons to their seats for shows or events by demonstrating excellent customer service skills, responding promptly to customer needs and requests for service and assistance.  The successful candidate must be able to work independently and handle most questions without assistance, and efficiently and courteously answer questions concerning pricing, seating, events, facility layouts and amenities.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Greet each guest with a smile and encourage them to enjoy their visit to our facilities
•    Listen attentively to patrons' questions, concerns or suggestions and be prepared to answer their questions
•    Inspect your assigned areas for any safety hazards or seating irregularities prior to opening the doors; report any problems to the Event Manager on duty
•    Knowledge of the locations of the nearest restrooms, drinking fountains, smoking sections and concession stands
•    Face the incoming patrons (not the floor) while standing at the top of your section or in the center of your passageway
•    Constantly scan the seating areas for any unusual happenings
•    Scan your assigned area for cans, bottles, and any alcohol related problems
•    Be alert for any objects being thrown from the seating areas and from areas above your area
•    Watch for seat jumpers to protect the integrity of the tickets
•    Prevent patrons and vendors from blocking walkways and aisles
•    Advise patrons who are smoking that it is prohibited in the seating areas and direct them to the designated smoking areas outside
•    Direct and control the exiting of Patrons in the event of an emergency evacuation

SUMMARY
ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Cook I.  The Cook I will work in all aspects of the Culinary Operations including off-premises locations under the leadership of the management team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Ensure the Culinary Kitchen is clean and organized, and maintain a clean work area
•    Ability to finish work assignments in a timely manner
•    Assist the Culinary Leadership in the preparation of Banquet Event Orders (BEO)
•    Must be assertive and ask questions if an assignment is not clear and concise
•    Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise temporary labor staff as needed

Banquet Server

SUMMARY

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a part-time Banquet Server at Osceola Heritage Park. The successful candidate will work both Banquet and Arena Functions within the Catering Department, including Suite Attendant, Reception Events, Cart Service, and any other function serving food and beverage items.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AMD RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Required to read, understand, and continually follow the Savor Catering/Osceola Banquet 
Training Guide
•    Obtain Safe Staff training within 90 days of employment
•    Fulfill the service per each Banquet Event Order (BEO)
•    Assist with setting up and organization of the catered event
•    Serve food and beverages at events; provide excellent customer service
•    Must be able to adhere to and enforce all policies and procedures of the company including alcohol and uniform policy
•    Attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service is a must
•    Assist with break down and cleanup of catered event
•    Maintain all Banquet equipment cleanliness
•    Hands-on with all aspects of the Banquet Server Duties
•    Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE


•    High School Diploma or equivalent
•    Experience in the food service industry
•    One plus years of wait staff experience

QUALIFICATIONS

•    Some knowledge of the food and beverage industry is a plus
•    Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks
•    Ability to work independently or as a team
•    Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
•    Excellent communication and people-person skills
•    Clean professional appearance

PHYSICAL DEMANDS


•    Able to stand and walk for long periods
