PURCHASING COORDINATOR

Job Description:

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent opportunity for a Purchasing Coordinator at ASM Global/Osceola Heritage Park, Kissimmee, FL.

Osceola Heritage Park, a 150-acre complex, is home to the 11,000 capacity Silver Spurs Arena; 90,000 square foot Exhibition Building; Osceola County Stadium; Kissimmee Valley Livestock Building and the University of Florida Extension Services Office. Osceola Heritage Park provides a venue for events including concerts, family shows, sporting events, and trade shows.

Summary: The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for fulfilling the purchasing function in compliance with ASM Global policy.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all purchasing except for petty cash transactions and food & beverage product purchases.
  • Ensure all ASM Global purchasing procedures are followed.
  • Ensure necessary paperwork and approval is completed before goods or services are ordered.
  • Establish relationships with a number of suppliers of the various types of items that are regularly purchased.
  • Research whether requested items are available from existing contracts or term agreements.
  • Work with vendors to secure the best price, utilize preferred pricing lists as appropriate. Conduct analysis to determine if prices are reasonable.
  • Ensure proper competition among suppliers is achieved by soliciting multiple quotations or offers.
  • Prepare Requests for Proposals as needed.
  • Review quotes and offers for compliance with specifications and time requirements. Review quality, warranties, life expectancy, and maintenance requirements.
  • Coordinate letters of agreement and term agreements as needed.
  • Generate purchase orders to order items or services from vendors.
  • Ensure proper vendor contracts are in place.
  • Match receiving documents with purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Forward matched documents to the Finance Assistant on a timely basis.
  • Track which approved purchases have not yet been received.
  • Manage the purchasing software, currently eRequester.
  • Train new purchasing software users and ensure the facility is utilizing the software efficiently.
  • Serve as liaison with Osceola County in regard to major purchases. Ensure that ASM Global follows proper county procedures.
  • Serve as internal custodian for capital items. Lead the annual capital inventory, handle new asset tagging & tracking; handle dispositions.
  • Serve as backup for the payroll function.
  • Assist with monthly food & beverage product inventory counts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Associate's Degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Experience administering business and/or governmental procurement policies preferred.
  • Experience with eRequester software preferred.

 Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to function both independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to meet specific deadlines and successfully work under pressure, with close attention to detail.
  • Must be able to prioritize schedules, and follow instructions.
  • Experience with Excel is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Excellent math skills are required.

Job Description

Wait Staff will work both Banquet and Restaurant Functions within the Catering Department to include, Suite Attendant, Reception Events, Cart Service, and any other function serving food and beverage items.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AMD RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Required to read, understand, and continually follow the Savor Catering/Osceola Banquet Training Guide;
  • Obtain Safe Staff training within 90 days of employment. * Fulfill the service per each Banquet Event Order (BEO);
  • Assist with set up and organization of catered event;
  • Serve food and beverage at events; provide excellent customer service;
  • Must be able to adhere to and enforce all policies and procedures of the company including alcohol and uniform policy;
  • Attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service is a must;
  • Assist with break down and cleanup of catered event;
  • Maintain all Banquet equipment cleanliness;
  • Hands-on with all aspects of the Banquet Server duties;

CASHIER (Part-Time)

Summary

The cashier will sell menu items at the concession stand, control waste and provide good customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow all policies and procedures of ASM Global;
  • Assist in the setup of the stand prior to event, (cooking pretzels, making hotdogs, etc.);
  • Verify starting bank with money manager and handle money in accordance with cashier money handling policy;
  • Keep track of all voids and over rings;
  • Take orders from customers; Check ID for alcohol sales and enforce alcohol policy;
  • Assist with keeping an accurate inventory count;
  • Balance revenue sheet after each event;
  • Help with post event break down, (cleaning, putting stock away, etc.);
  • Other duties as assigned;

CONCESSIONS STAND MANAGER (Part-Time)

Position: Concessions Stand Manager(Part-time, On-call)

Department: Food & Beverage Concessions

Reports to: Concessions Manager

FLSA status: Hourly, non-exempt

 

SUMMARY

Oversee the concession stands and handle operations, issues and situation during an event; control inventory during events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Verify the beginning and ending inventory counts in concession stands;
  • Assist with the training of any new concession workers;
  • Keeps track of ingoing and outgoing inventory;
  • Ensure product is always stocked and available to guests;
  • Help enforce all ASM Global/Savor policies and procedures including alcohol policies;
  • Monitor quality of food and presentation continuously;
  • Provide excellent customer service skills;
  • Ensure that all paperwork is filled out properly;
  • Other duties as assigned;

QUALIFICATIONS

DISHWASHER (Part-Time)

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Dishwasher/Steward part-time for Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, FL.

The Dishwasher/Steward will work in the kitchen ensuring that a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation is maintained within the food and beverage department.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Stage plates and setup breakdown area prior to events.
  • Assist FOH prior to events as needed.
  • Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
  • Washes pots, pans, trays, worktables, walls, ranges and refrigerators.
  • Maintains clean dry floors and walls at all times, including sweeping and mopping.
  • Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
  • Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Help keep all China, Glass, and Silver in place, along with keeping the Banquet storage areas stocked and orderly.
  • Assist in plating up for events.
  • Maintains sanitary and safe work environment at all times.

* Sells tickets using Ticketmaster software.
* Provides exceptional customer service while processing ticket orders and/or solving ticket related issues.
* Efficiently and courteously answers questions regarding seating, pricing, policies, and event details.
* Accurately processes customer ticket orders.
* Dispenses tickets requested by patrons; accepts payment and makes changes accurately.
* Handles Will Call window according to Box Office procedures.
* Accurately balances cash drawer at the end of each shift.
* Files various records and reports.
