AV Technician

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the maintenance and operation of all audio, lighting, and video production equipment within Osceola Heritage Park. Property production equipment includes video boards and messaging systems, LED lighting systems, spotlights, digital audio systems, and other A/V equipment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a technical support role in the event industry including concerts, athletic events, and expos, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 2 to 4 years experience in Audio/Video systems, including hardware and software, lighting systems controls, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Operate a personal computer using Windows, Office, and other standard office equipment.
  • Prior experience with video/matrix boards, at a fast-paced arena or like the venue is preferred, but not required, Daktronics experience preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must be able to troubleshoot, analyze, and prioritize technical information to make informed recommendations.

SUMMARY

The Marketing and Public Relations Manager is responsible for the planning and implementation of a complete marketing campaign for the facility and all events including advertising, promotion, publicity, group sales, and social media.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the public relations image of the facility
  • Establish and maintain relationships with media, industry influencers, and key community and strategic partners
  • Act as facility spokesperson and liaison with the public
  • Develop and implement an advertising and publicity campaign to create regional and national awareness of the facility
  • Assist with research of the viability of potential events
  • Maintain and monitor calendar of events for the Central Florida Market
  • Create and supervise marketing plans for events as required to include all available services such as group sales, public relations, media placement, direct mail promotional development, social media, and non-profit opportunities etc.
  • Operate the department with a conscious commitment to maximize exposure for the facility and its events through the most effective and efficient means possible
  • Develop marketing materials and procedures to have the department function effectively as an in-house agency
  • Aggressively seek new contacts and maintains working relationships with all media representatives, civic and industry organizations, corporate promotional contacts, and event and booking representatives
  • Remain current on national trends in the industry and local market changes to best serve the facility
  • Explore new avenues of revenue(s) for the facility

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises Marketing, Public Relations, and Group Sales team members, and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with SMG’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and managing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

Telecommunication Technician

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repairs of facility and client utility communication systems, including telephone systems, computer/data systems (internet), radio and television broadcasts, by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate telephone system provider's services outside the facility with in-house requirements.
  • Maintains applicable code requirements that apply to cable insulation, ceiling plenum routing and support, wall penetration, and fire rating when conduit raceways are necessary.

  • Operate communications-related computer systems for administrative and functional purposes.

  • Recommend cost-effective and cost-efficient means of operations of telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Coordinates work with all operations sections; interfaces effectively with all users, providers, and peers.
  • Maintains a safe working environment.
  • Attends to and conforms to the policies established by SMG in the successful performance of this position.

SUMMARY:

Oversee all Concession Operations related to the Austin Tindall Regional Park, Osceola Heritage Park, Osceola County Stadium and other locations as assigned.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise the food & beverage employees in the preparation and service of food and refreshments.
  • Responsible for Staff Development Recruitment and Training.
  • Coordinate with Event Managers the preparation and setup of concession functions.
  • Inspect food service facilities to ensure that equipment and buildings meet requirements of State and Local health laws and internal regulations.
  • Inspect and taste prepared foods to maintain quality control standards and sanitation regulations.
  • Coordinate and supervise staffing for on and off-site events.

  • Coordinate with Warehouse Supervisor to ensure product availability for events

SUMMARY: Oversee the concession stands and handle operations, issues, and situations during an event, and control inventory during events.
