ACCOUNTANT (ENTRY LEVEL)

SUMMARY: The Accountant’s primary responsibilities include the following functions in accordance with SMG/OHP policies.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and enter Journal Entries.
• Maintain, reconcile, and analyze general ledger accounts.
• Prepare accounts receivable invoices or post receipts.
• Track deposits made for events.
• Review event estimates or draft invoices prepared by event managers or F&B manager.
• Review revenue reports from outside contractors.
• Review event reports which may include food & beverage cost reports and POS reports.
• Reconcile box office transactions and related bank activity.
• Assist with capital assets and the annual inventory. Track assigned asset tags. Coordinate proper disposition of assets as needed following established procedures.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Prepare various financial reports and analysis as requested.
• Help ensure proper accounting procedures throughout the facility.  
• Prepare tax reports. 
• Assist with audits.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university with a major in accounting;
• Minimum 2 years’ related experience and/or training is preferred;
• Experience in public accounting or event facility accounting preferred; 
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
• Excellent interpersonal skills essential;

COMPUTER SKILLS:                                             

To perform this job successfully, knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential. Experience with Sage or Peachtree Accounting Software is preferred.

PRODUCTION ENGINEER

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for maintaining and operating all production equipment within Osceola Heritage Park. Newly installed production equipment includes a state of the art video board and messaging systems, LED lighting system, digital audio systems, and other A/V equipment. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and maintain all audio, lighting and video equipment;
• Set up and strike equipment required for event production;
• Update and maintain all technical drawings related to all audio and video equipment and signal paths;
• Troubleshoot and repairing equipment, and provide technical support for events as needed;
• Keep accurate inventory of tools, machinery and related equipment;
• Perform off-season maintenance and preventive maintenance projects;
• Manage all communications connectivity throughout the building;
• Coordinate all video and audio routing throughout the facility;
• User support for all software and hardware related computer issues;
• Others duties as deemed necessary;

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Three years of hands-on experience in technical support for events to include concerts and athletic events, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum 2 to 4 years’ experience in Audio/Video systems, including hardware and software, lighting systems controls, and troubleshooting skills;
• Prior experience with video/matrix boards, at a fast paced arena or like venue is preferred, but not required;
• Daktronics experience preferred.

• Must be able to competently analyze and prioritize information to make appropriate recommendations;
• Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic;
• Proven job reliability, diligence and dedication;
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate and interface with all departments, as well as promoters and agents, assuring the finest levels of customer service;

• Experience in operating a fork lift is preferred;
• Ability to work irregular / extended hours, including nights, weekends and holidays are a MUST;

Available Part-Time Positions

BARTENDER (ON-CALL)                         

SUMMARY: Bartender will work Arena and Banquet Functions with the Catering Department serving beverage items.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

• Verify starting bank with money manager;
• Handle money in accordance with the policies of this company;
• Enforce all alcohol policies and check ID’s for proof of age;
• Help enforce all policies and procedures of the company;
• Provide continuous hands on service during the event;
• Maintain all bar equipment cleanliness;
• Assist with keeping accurate inventory count;
• Keep track of all voids and over rings;
• Balance revenue and inventory sheet after each event;
• Make sure paperwork is complete and filled out properly;
• Attend Tips certification class within 90 days of employment;
• Obtain Safe Staff training within 90 days of employment;
• Other duties may be assigned;

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to ability to follow written and verbal instructions;
• Able to work independently or in a team environment;

COOK/STEWARDING (ENTRY LEVEL)                                                         

SUMMARY: The Cook/Stewarding will work in the main kitchen and in concessions preparing food items for the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely and under the direction of Cook I and Cook II Culinary staff;
• Maintain a clean working area throughout your assigned shift;
• Hands on with all aspects of cleaning duties within the Culinary Operations;
• Ability to set up and break down stations for catered events;
• Maintain dish area;
• Ability to perform light culinary work as needed;
• Complete assigned duties in a timely matter;

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:                                                    

• Ability to work in a team environment within the Culinary Operation;
• Ability to follow directions, complete multiple tasks while maintain a positive attitude;
• Ability to be creative with buffet food presentations and maintain a quality product;
• Attention to detail.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:                                           

• Supervise temporary stewarding labor staff as needed.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:                                                      

• High School Diploma;
• At least one year experience in a large multi-functional food & beverage operation;

WAIT STAFF (ON-CALL)

SUMMARY: To work both Banquet and Restaurant Functions within the Catering Department to include, Suite Attendant, Reception Events, Cart Service and any other function serving food and beverage items.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AMD RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Required to read, understand and continually follow the Savor Catering/Osceola Banquet Training Guide;
• Obtain Safe Staff training within 90 days of employment.
• Fulfill the service per each Banquet Event Order (BEO);
• Assist with set up and organization of catered event;
• Serve food and beverage at events; provide excellent customer service;
• Must be able to adhere to and enforce all policies and procedures of the company including alcohol and uniform policy;
• Attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service is a must;
• Assist with break down and cleanup of catered event;
• Maintain all Banquet equipment cleanliness;
• Hands-on with all aspects of the Banquet Server duties;
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent;
• Experience in the food service industry;
• One plus years of wait staff experience;

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Some knowledge of the food and beverage industry is a plus;
• Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks;
• Ability to work independently or as a team;
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions;
• Fluency in English both verbal and written; bilingual a plus;

COOK I (KITCHEN)

SUMMARY: The Cook I will work in the main kitchen, catering and concessions, preparing food items for the facility and lead the Culinary Operations including off premises locations.

• Work with leadership and execute/maintain the required production;
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the entire Culinary Operation;

• Advance Culinary knowledge to include sauce preparation, cooking methods/recipes, and kitchen equipment;

• Strong attention to details and maintain a high level of quality on the production of products produced;

• Supervise temporary labor staff as needed

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:                                          

• Culinary Arts Degree or 3 plus years’ experience in multi-purpose, high volume Catering Operation.
