PRODUCTION ENGINEER

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for maintaining and operating all production equipment within Osceola Heritage Park. Newly installed production equipment includes a state of the art video board and messaging systems, LED lighting system, digital audio systems, and other A/V equipment. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and maintain all audio, lighting and video equipment;
• Set up and strike equipment required for event production;
• Update and maintain all technical drawings related to all audio and video equipment and signal paths;
• Troubleshoot and repairing equipment, and provide technical support for events as needed;
• Keep accurate inventory of tools, machinery and related equipment;
• Perform off-season maintenance and preventive maintenance projects;
• Manage all communications connectivity throughout the building;
• Coordinate all video and audio routing throughout the facility;
• User support for all software and hardware related computer issues;
• Others duties as deemed necessary;

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Three years of hands-on experience in technical support for events to include concerts and athletic events, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum 2 to 4 years’ experience in Audio/Video systems, including hardware and software, lighting systems controls, and troubleshooting skills;
• Prior experience with video/matrix boards, at a fast paced arena or like venue is preferred, but not required;
• Daktronics experience preferred.

• Must be able to competently analyze and prioritize information to make appropriate recommendations;
• Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic;
• Proven job reliability, diligence and dedication;
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate and interface with all departments, as well as promoters and agents, assuring the finest levels of customer service;
• Must be able to interact with the public and vendors;
• Organizational and multi-task skills is essential;
• Experience in operating a fork lift is preferred;
• Ability to work irregular / extended hours, including nights, weekends and holidays are a MUST;

SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (track record as an AA)

SUMMARY:  The Senior Administrative Assistant will provide a full spectrum of administrative support to the General Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Answer and respond to General Manager’s telephone calls appropriately.
• Plan and maintain the daily and long-term appointment calendar and schedule.
• Plan and coordinate travel schedule and arrangements.
• Receive, open and sort General Manager’s mail.
• Ensure key documents are signed and routed appropriately.
• Compose correspondence, memos and emails.
• Draft Sales Contracts for General Manager and/or Director of Booking.
• Create reports using Excel.
• Take dictation at meetings and transcribe notes of the meetings.
• Prepare and manage expense reports and expense reimbursement records.
• Maintain required records and files.
• Send calendar of availability to promoters for potential events.
• Deal discreetly with large amounts of sensitive and confidential business information.
• Prepare and organize meeting and presentation materials.
• Perform research and data collection for special projects.
• Coordinate and provide back-up coverage with other administrative support staff, if needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:             

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate Degree in Business Administration or completion of college level coursework is a plus.
• Two – three years’ experience supporting a Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Seasoned professional with strong work ethics; assertive, critical thinking and decision-making skills;
• Ability to take-charge, as well as proactive and anticipate business needs;
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects and deadlines;
• Excellent oral and written communications skills;
• Excellent customer service and public relations skills;
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;  EXCEL PROFICIENCY IS MANDATORY.
• Ability to take dictation and transcribe notes and/or minutes.
• Ability to use all office equipment (computer, calculator, fax, copier and scanner machines);
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
• Ability to work 40 hours per week and flexible and extended hours as needed.

MAINTENANCE/GROUNDSKEEPER

SUMMARY: Maintains the function and appearance of the facility, oversees the building grounds, and assures facility readiness for a smooth operation of events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Performs a variety of grounds maintenance tasks to include edging, mowing, trimming, waste and litter removal, fertilizing, laying sod and raking.  Spreads seed, plants foliage and shrubbery, aerates sports fields, lawns and soils, trims and maintains landscape.  Drags and spikes clay infields (when/where appropriate).
• Performs custodial tasks to include emptying and cleaning waste receptacles; washing windows; dusting and polishing furniture; cleaning vents, air filters, fans, walls; changing light bulbs, cleaning restrooms and locker rooms.
• Performs physically demanding tasks requiring use of heavy grounds keeping, maintenance and/or custodial equipment.
• Performs general maintenance and upkeep of tools, equipment and machinery to include lubricates, services and fuels; performs routine light maintenance and repairs; cleans and maintains safe operation.
• Performs minor maintenance and repairs on facilities, structures, equipment, sidewalks, drainage and other County property in one or more of the skilled and semi-skilled disciplines to include plumbing, masonry, carpentry, flooring and irrigation, 
• Operates lawn care equipment to include manual and riding lawn mowers, sports turf mowers, sand pros and tractors, sod cutters, trucks, weed-eaters, trimmers, edger and blower.
• Operates and maintains irrigation and drainage systems.
• May utilize a wide variety of manual, gas and electric powered hand tools, to include a hammer, shovel, rake, screw drivers, wrenches, digging bar, chainsaw, chemical sprayer leaf blowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers and edger. 
• Maintains buildings and equipment by keeping it clean and in a safe working order by emptying and cleaning waste receptacles, cleaning vents, fans and walls; clean equipment and tools after use and maintains cleanliness and order in storage areas.
• Painting of facility fields, buildings – both exterior and interior, doors, etc., as needed
• Event set-up and changeover to include moving, arranging, assembly and disassembly, setting and removal of items needed;
• Participates in work-site safety set-up - preps work areas; sets barricades and cones; conducts traffic control in accordance with uniform work zone safety standards; flag traffic.
• Responds to emergency situations in order to confine, resolve or prevent injurious or otherwise hazardous conditions due to fallen debris, spills, broken windows, broken locks, etc.
• Organizes and maintains inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and facility maintenance needs to immediate supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned or necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the education, skill, and/or ability required.

• High School Diploma or GED; 
• Two (2) years’ experience in facility maintenance or an equivalent combination of 
education, training, and experience;  
• Valid Florida Driver’s license; 
• Valid Florida Lawn and Ornamental Spray license or ability to obtain license within 90 days 
of hire;
• Fork Lift Certification or ability to acquire certification within 90 days of hire;
• Fluent in English including speaking and writing; 
• Excellent communication skills and a good working relationships with departmental personnel, supervisors and the general public;

• Ability to work at heights up to 20 feet;
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move 50 – 100 pounds;
