SILVER SPURS ARENA AND EXHIBITION BUILDING TO HOST WAL-MART FLW TOUR

Osceola Heritage Park’s Silver Spurs Arena and Exhibition Building will host the Wal-Mart™ FLW Tour® live Weigh-In and Family Fun Zone on Saturday, March 1st and Sunday, March 2nd. 

The $9.5 million Wal-Mart™ FLW Tour® kicks off its 2008 season at Kissimmee’s Lake Tohopekaliga on February 28th -March 2nd with a $1 million event hosted by the Central Florida Sports Commission and the Kissimmee Convention and Visitors Bureau.  The tournament, which ranks as the largest and most lucrative held in Florida this year, features 400 anglers from 35 states, Mexico, Italy, Spain, Australia and Japan fishing the world-famous Lake Toho. The top professional wins $125,000 in the Pro Division, while the best amateur pockets $25,000 in the Co-angler Division. The weigh-ins on March 1st and 2nd begin at 4 p.m. at the Silver Spurs Arena at Osceola Heritage Park.

The tournament also features a Family Fun Zone and Outdoor Show at the Exhibition Building at Osceola Heritage Park on March 1st and 2nd from noon to 6 p.m.  Wrestling superstar Hulk Hogan will hold an autograph session along with the top anglers representing 35 states, Australia, Italy and Japan.  Children can participate in fishing-themed games and activities such as the Ranger boat simulator, the National Guard obstacle course and the FLW trout pond.  Listen to the sport’s top professionals share their favorite fishing tips and have a chance to win a Ranger boat.  Admission to the weigh-ins, Family Fun Zone and Outdoor Show is free.
