VAZQUEZ JR. TO DEFEND WBO JR. FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE

All Star Boxing, Inc, Osceola Heritage Park and Promoter Tuto Zabala, Jr. will feature a World Title Fight and one of the biggest shows in Central Florida history. This event will be hosted on October 16 at the Silver Spurs Arena at Osceola Heritage Park in an event billed: “The Rising Son Returns.”
In the main event WBO Jr. Featherweight Champion Wilfredo Vazquez, Jr. of Bayamon, Puerto Rico will make the second defense of his title when he meets his toughest opponent so far in Ivan “Choko” Hernandez of Ensenada, Mexico in a bout schedule for 12 rounds. For Vazquez Jr. (26) it will be homecoming; he has fought in Kissimmee 13 times in route to his world title bid last February.
On the other hand Hernandez (27) is a former WBO Champion himself. Being ranked #10 by both the WBC and WBO Hernandez has fought names like Mark Johnson, Fernando Montiel, Toshiaki Nishioka and Israel Vazquez. In his last two fights he stopped Jaime Maldonado and Lisandro De Los Santos both in the 5th round to improve his record to 27-4-1-17 KO’s.
