THE 2009 GREAT FLORIDA SHOOTOUT

The Silver Spurs Arena at Osceola Heritage Park is proud to host the Great Florida Shootout on December 26th, 28th – 30th.

The Great Florida Shootout is a four day tournament featuring sixteen top ranked high school basketball teams from Florida and around the nation.  Florida’s talented youth will compete against some of the nation’s best prep basketball teams.  The tournament is nationally recognized and attracts some of the top college and NBA recruiters throughout the country.  This event is sponsored in part by the Florida Lottery, Orlando Magic, ESPN Radio and the Kissimmee Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The Florida teams include: American Heritage High School, Plantation, FL; Fort Myers High School, Ft. Myers, FL; Lakeland Kathleen High School, Lakeland, FL; Mariner High School, Cape Coral, FL; Northeast High School, Oakland Park, FL; Oak Ridge High School, Orlando, FL; Orlando Christian Prep, Orlando, FL, State Champions and #1 in the state; Osceola High School, Kissimmee, FL; Poinciana High School, Kissimmee, FL; Rockledge High School, Rockledge, FL and St. Petersburg High School, St. Petersburg, FL.

The out of state teams include: Miller Grove High School, Lithonia, GA, State Champions; Richmond High School, Monroe, LA, State Champions; Saint Francis De Sales High, Columbus, OH, featuring 6’3” Nick Kellogg (Division 1 prospect and son of CBS Basketball Analyst Clark Kellogg ) and 5’ 10” Adam Griffin (son of two time Heisman Trophy winner Archie Griffin;) Savannah High School, Savannah, GA, Regional Champions and State Elite 8 and TW Andrews High School, High Point, NC.

Tickets go on sale this Saturday, November 14th at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster (800) 745-3000, ticketmaster.com and the Silver Spurs Arena Box Office.  Event dates and times are December 26th and 28th from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. and December 29th and 30th from 1 p.m. – 10 p.m.  Single day ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children 16 and under and high school students with valid ID.  Children 4 and under are free.  Tournament passes are $30 for adults and $15 for children.  For additional information visit www.gflso.com.  All dates, acts and ticket prices are subject to change without notice.
