The Cox Media Group has joined with Osceola Heritage Park to raise money for the Osceola Council on Aging this holiday season. For 12 days, one dollar from every paid admission to the Wonderland of Lights at Osceola Heritage Park will be donated to the Osceola Council on Aging to provide much needed services and holiday gifts for the needy in our community. The “12 Days of Christmas Giving” ends on Christmas Day.
All donations from the “12 Days of Christmas Giving” will be spent locally for the food pantry, free health clinic; Meals on Wheels, transportation for the elderly and other programs; helping hundreds of seniors and families in our community.
“This is a fantastic and heartwarming partnership,” exclaimed Beverly Hougland, CEO of the Osceola Council on Aging. “I’ve never seen the enormous challenges before us since this organization was created almost 40 years ago, and more and more community partners are stepping forward to support our mission of enabling the disadvantaged, disabled and elderly.”
“We are delighted that the Cox cluster of radio stations, AM 580 WDBO, Power 95, WMMO, K92FM, WHTQ and Star 94.5 have joined us in this worthwhile endeavor. Together, along with our community, we will contribute in making a difference in the lives of so many disadvantaged residents,” stated Robb Larson, Osceola Heritage Park/SMG General Manager.”
The Osceola Council on Aging, Inc. is a private 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to providing services to enable independence and self-sufficiency for seniors, disabled adults and disadvantaged families.
