AMERICA'S GREAT OUTDOORS INITIATIVE

President Obama understands that efforts for protecting and restoring the lands and waters that we love and reconnecting people to the outdoors must be community driven.

All people, especially young people, play a critical role in America’s Great Outdoors Initiative in shaping the environmental future for the 21st century.  Everyone is invited to the Osceola Heritage Park on Thursday, August 26 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. to engage in this conversation to ensure that America’s voices are heard.  The event is hosted by the Department of the Interior, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Environmental Protection Agency.

Following this session, there will be the general America’s Great Outdoors Listening Session.  Youth are encouraged to stay for the general listening session from 3:30-6:30 pm.

To ensure that there is sufficient space for everyone, you are encouraged to reply to ago.youth@ios.doi.gov by Tuesday, August 24th and let the organizers know if you plan to attend one or both of these listening sessions.
