Description

The Osceola School District Safe Schools Healthy Students Initiative and Community Vision will once again host Teen Summit.  Students will listen to speakers, as well as participate in breakout sessions dealing with relevant issues and work on an action plan detailing the positive projects they plan to accomplish at their school and in the community. Teen Summit assists students in building the skills necessary to promote positive mental health development, engage in pro-social behavior, and prevent violent behavior and drug use.  These efforts are meant to ensure that all students can learn in a safe, disciplined, drug-free environment. Over 200 high school students, ranging from freshman to juniors will represent 10 schools as they come together for this daylong event and are empowered to make a difference in their school and community.
